About Our Business:
Daniel A. Gollnick, Ph.D.
Business Founder and Owner
Dr. Gollnick earned his M.S. degree in Experimental Nuclear Physics at Michigan State University and his Ph.D. in Radiological Physics at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is President of Pacific Radiation, a technical consulting firm he founded to provide assistance, training and D and D services to the nuclear community. He is certified in Comprehensive Health Physics by the American Board of Health Physics. He served as Professor of Physics for 22 years at California State University, Los Angeles before he decided to devote full-time to consulting activities. He has taught radiation protection courses at both the technical and professional levels, at numerous sites around the world. He worked for the U.N. International Atomic Energy Agency as an international expert in Health Physics in Argentina.
Having been employed for over 50 years in the nuclear physics field, Dr. Gollnick recently decided to slow down a bit. He expends his spare energy now in astronomy outreach programs. For grade school students, he first presents a daytime show-and-tell program in their classroom. Then at night, he sets up his telescopes on the school playground and gives the school kids and their parents some quality eyes-on experience viewing the wonders of the night sky.
